Mon but est de (pouvoir) lire Balzac en français.
Mon auteur favori est Balzac, mais je l'ai toujours lu en traduction anglaise. Je désire le lire dans sa langue maternelle (or 'originale' for a book, a movie...), le français.
J'apprends le français à l'Alliance Française. Quand j'ai commencé ces cours, je n'ai rien compris, même un livre simple comme "Le Petite Prince". Maintenant, je le comprends à quatre-vingts / quatre-vingt-dix pourcents! (we don't often write it, you can use 80 / 90 % but it's a good trainning for writing composed numbers. A lot of french people make errors when they write them)
En rouge / In red : la correction / the correction
En vert / In green : pour une meilleure compréhension en français / it's for a better understanding in french
french = français
french language = langue française
a french girl = une fille française
(here, with a 'e' at the end because 'langue' and 'fille' are feminine nouns)
You don't put the accents, maybe you don't have them on your keyboard.
