young people are better able to make decisions on their own in today’s society.（2） Furthermore, the university pays attention to foster young students’ ability of making decisions. In the past time, universities do not encourage students make decisions on their own. They set courses for students, even though young people do not enjoy these courses. Waiting for making decisions by others, young people in the past are worse to make decisions. Nowadays, when we enter universities, professors provide amounts of electives and programs for us. We can choose classes according to our interests and future careers. When finding we are not suitable for such electives and programs, we can change our major or even university if we want. It all depends on our decision. Through this way, the the professors teach us how to find our interests and make decisions for ourselves. In conclusion, in today’s society, not only young people become more and more independent bualso parents and university foster their ability of making decisions. Therefore, I firmly agree that young people are better able to make decisions on their own in today’s society.
