Is it Hot in Your Country Like China?

I live in chongqing,China. The weather is very hot in summer, the highest Temperature is over 40 centigrade.  People in this city seldom walk outside on the daylight, but there are still exciting things in this season. For example, we can eat ice-cream, we can wear beautiful skirts, we can swim.etc
I have never been to other countries. I just saw a few countries though TV. After all, there are  differences between the show and the reality, aren't there? So, could you please tell me how is your country in summer, and what interesting things you can do?
