In Serbia, during wartime, I made reports about impunity and breaching the rule of law during the Milosevic era, and in Kosovo I investigated on human rights in situations of conflict, violence and insecurity. One of the things I like about my journalist work is the fact that I have an opportunity to let people's stories be heard.

Hi Valerie. This is a lovely effort and a very interesting read! It sounds like you've experienced a great deal in your line of work.
You've made use of some interesting language here and the final sentence, in particular, really reads well. The start of your letter is rather direct and may benefit from another sentence of introduction. For example, 'My work as a journalist has exposed me to the hardships faced by many people across the world'.
