Movies have been influencing me since I was a little child; I think that they have turned me a dreamer person, for example. I prefer to talk about the influence of movies, because I watch very little TV, what is a characteristic of my generation. In my opinion, movies usually transmits some values of freedom. As well, they often tell stories about the importance of to seize the life. Since sexual revolution, movies have been showing stories of free love and criticising some conservatism of society. The history of crazy love had influenced many people to love without care for marriage, for instance. The film Titanic shows the history of an aristocratic girl that falls in love for a poor boy. The woman had a rich husband-to be, but did not love him. She betrayed him to live an adventurous love history with a poor man, against all the society’s conventions. I think that some taboos do not exists anymore in partly because of the movies’ influence; because of them, I think that pre-marital sex is so common nowadays. For me, movies helps to create a beautiful generation of brave dreamers, as well transmits that everyone should seize the life. Many films show the history of apparent impossible dreams coming true, what have been inspiring millions of people. For example, the movie Dead poets society inspired me a lot to fight to achieve a good career as an actress. In the cited movie there is a great student that wants to be an actor. He even had a wonderful performance in a school play. But his parents do not want him to be an actor, what have terrible consequences. I had identified myself a lot with this character: I always have been a good student, but my dream always was to be an actress, even that my parents does not want it. Because of the movies, I decided to risk everything to make my dreams come true. In conclusion, I believe that movies influence the people behaviour to break social conventions, to try to life in more fulfilment way and to be braver in the fight of make dreams come true.
