Note this is the first of 11 paragraphs which I will progressively translate from my review written in English. I thought it would be too much for those correcting as well as myself to learn from the corrections if I waited until the whole review was translated and posted in one shot. Also understand there are character number restrictions on the website. Apologies also if some of the facts from the movie are not quite correct, as I have a terrible memory for these kinds of details.

I hope to use this movie to not only improve my Chinese vocabulary and grammar but to learn more about Chinese culture. I am aware there are a lot of themes in the movie relating to Chinese culture, some which I understand, some which I don't, but I hope I can learn more. I like this movie because it is the kind of movie where there are no black and white answers. It encourages reflection long after viewing and there is no "correct" viewpoint.

The storyline is simple enough 故事情节不复雜 because of the nuance indicated by "enough"– a woman, Li Xuelian, 一位女士, 李雪莲together with her husband, 与丈夫 fake a divorce so they can obtain a second home in the city centre. 共謀假离婚 来得取第二间城市住宅 After the divorce, 事后 she discovers her husband has married another woman and left her without a house. 女士得知丈夫与另人結合夫妻, 连原屋空有. She then complains to the court to reverse the “fake” divorce,就 向法庭申诉 而删掉原假告so she can get access to full divorce settlement benefits.  以得所有离婚 结算 得<wbr>益However, the court upholds that the divorce was legitimate.  不过, 法庭认为此离婚是合法的

She then complains to the court to reverse the “fake” divorce, so she can get access to full divorce settlement benefits. However, the court upholds that the divorce was legitimate.

故事比较简单- 一个女人， 李雪连 莲， 和她的老公，做了一个假的离婚， 因为他们要得到第二个房子在城市里买第二个房子。离婚之后，她才发现她的以前的以前的老公   前夫已经和别的女人结婚了， 让她没有房子。以之后，她对法庭抱怨提起控诉，让法庭删掉本推翻原来给的离婚。这样，她可以得到一般家庭的一半资产。但是，法庭决定判决本来 原来的离婚是正确的。
