First notebook entry: Introducing myself

Hi, I am [a] young woman and [am] currently taking care of my 3-months-old baby boy. Last year I graduated in [from a] teacher training course at the University of Leipzig. I want to use the time [I have] at home and to polish my English as I am becoming [will become] an English teacher at [a] grammar school. Therefore[,] I am searching for an English speaker, who is learning the German language. I want to communicate on a regular basis (2 to 3 times a months via letter or e-mail).
