generally, they can be used interchangeably. little boy: I like bananas. his friend: I like bananas, too!/I also like bananas. There is no difference as such in the meaning, however we tend to put "too" at the end of a sentence. "me too!" "Oh, I have that book too.", "I too have that book" would not be incorrect but it is very old fashioned. Also is used more before the verb. "I also have that book" .

Well, i learned than the word 'too' we use in the end of a sentence, and 'also' in the middle, but the meaning is the same.
