Yes, they do. The idea of teahouse is very similar to "cafe", as tea is always traditional bevarage in China. People spend time in teahouse talking to their friends, drinking tea or simply just want to spend some time there. For amusement,some of the fancy teahouse do have opera in house.(Just like rock bands play in the bars!) But I think teahouse is no longer that popular after 2000s.
