Clueless Chopstics I just bought sushi and before I walked out I grabbed a pair of chopsticks. I didn't notice this before but, it says "Iratsushiyaimase"「いらつしやいます」 I've never heard of this phrase, so I decided to check it out...but the only translation I can find is "not welcome" which I don't think the store was aiming for. Does anyone know what this means? If so, what mistake did I make in reading it?

いらっしゃいませ is a stock phrase said by shop people whenever a customer enters the shop. It means "welcome". It is often printed at the entrance. The word is in EVERY dictionary. いらっしゃいます= deferential form of いる

Is intended to use chopsticks to eat regularly in Japan. I hit in terms of customer service in Japan meaning "Welcome" is that they welcome customers to the shop.
