What's the difference between "think of" and "think over"? Give me some examples, please.

think of + something or someone think of my plans in the future think of my friend think something over / think over something=> think carefully (usually when making a decision) Give me a few days to think this over. I am not sure whether I want that job or not. I need to think over my career plans. I think it's better to work as a corporate lawyer than as a prosecutor. hope this helps! :)

When i think of you, it put's a smile on my face. I am not sure if i like you. Let me think it over. I usually think of things like that and it makes me angry! I have to think it over and see how i feel about it.

# THINK OF # *** THINK something OF someone or something To hold a particular kind of opinion of someone or something; to hold someone or something in a particular kind of regard. (Such as ill, good, highly, bad, much, a lot, a great deal.) e.g. 1) Please don't think ill of me. It was a silly mistake. That's all. 2) We think quite highly of your plan. *** THINK OF someone or something To contemplate someone or something. e.g 1) I think of you whenever I go to the restaurant where we used to eat. 2) Whenever I see a rainbow, I think of Susan. ********************************************************************************************* # THINK OVER # *** THINK something OVER (or think over something) To consider something carefully; think something through e.g. 1) She really ought to think it over before she quits school. 2) Dunham was looking at me, thinking over what he had heard and deciding what it meant. 3) She made an offer to buy our house, and I promised to think it over. 4) I need a few minutes to think it over. 5) Let me think over your request for a day or so. *******************************************************************************************
