Is it written by an English native or foreigner? Thanks?
Brad: I went to Adele’s open-air concert yesterday. She is really a great singer.
John: You must have been so excited at the concert.
Brad: To be honest, I did not feel happy at first.
John: Why was that?
Brad: The concert was very crowded. We all stood because there were no seats.
John: Come on, tell me the rest of the story.
Brad: Unfortunately, right beside my left and my right were two “large” people. I am short and skinny and I was like the meat in between two pieces of bread! Just like a hamburger!
John: Poor guy. I hope you didn't gett hurt.
Brad: Actually, I did. They were shouting and screaming crazily while I was firmly stuck between them, with my feet off the ground! My shoulders were hurt!
John: I am sorry to hear that.
Brad: It’s all right. But what made me surprised was that after the concert, the two giants asked me whether I’d like to grab a cup of coffee.
John: Did you go with them?
Brad: Why not ?
John: What did you have?
Brad: Hamburgers.

It sounds very stilted for a natural dialogue.
Why do you ask?

I think it sounds like it was written by a foreigner. Personally, I wouldn't say that Adele "is really a great singer" but maybe she "is a really great singer" or she "really is a great singer". Plus, in a dialogue, you wouldn't say "did not" but rather "didn't" because it makes the spoken dialogue more fluent. Why do you ask?

I think it's written by native English speaker.
It's funny :)
