Do I write all the verbs in a sentence in the subjunctive? Hi there, When a sentence needs to use the subjunctive, do I need to use the subjunctive for ALL the verbs in it, for example; ‘I hope that this means they are here’ ‘Spero che questo SIGNIFICA che SIANO qui’ or just for the first verb; ‘Spero che questo SIGNIFICA che sono qui’ I can’t find anything in the grammar books to answer this question so any help would be very gratefully received.
