How about watching a movie you really enjoy first with subtitles, and then again, perhaps on another day, watch the movie again without subtitles. This way you are learning new words while watching a movie with subtitles on, and when the subtitles are off, you can focus on pronunciation

First, I download English subtitles, then I read them carefully and look up unknown words in the dictionary.Then little by little I watch a movie without the subtitles. After watching a small part of it, I listen to the movie again, follow the text simultaneously and say the phrases aloud trying to imitate native speakers.

I think you've hit the nail on the head - we need to be proactive when watching movies. It's great that you're taking notes and doing extra research and writing. That's where the real learning is taking place. I suspect too many students just passively watch a movie and think they're leaning a language, when in reality they're just looking at pictures and reading subtitles (in their own language, to boot). I can tell which students do this, because their progress is actually very, very slow. I've had the subtitles/no subtitles discussion many times in class. People take subtitles for granted, and I end up reminding my students that in my case, as a Slovak learner, I don't have the luxury of subtitles. They're simply not offered. So that's something to mull over...

I think you can rewatch the movie you really love in several times until you feel it is boring. i believe that in this way you can harvest a lot.
