Grammar points
I learn English grammar. Further there is an incorrect sentence first, and then my correction of it, which could be an improvement for the worse. I would like to ask native speakers of English to correct the sentences (also my 'corrections', if need be) and people who are well versed in the English grammar to tell me what four chapters in the grammar book I should read to eliminate such mistakes.
1. Do you think we should talk to her first? — I think yes.
My correction: Do you think we should talk to her first? — Yes, I think so.
2. They have been knowing each other for years.
My correction: They have known each other years.
3. If I'll pass my exams, my mother will be very proud of me.
My correction: If I pass my exams, my mother will be very proud of me.
4. They gave me useful advices.
My correction: They gave me useful pieces of advice (This one looks unnatural to me, but I don't know any better).
Thank you in advance!

1. You could simply use "I think so" without the "yes", but your correction is perfectly fine. I'm not sure what the exact grammar term is here... "elliptical phrases"?
2. Correct. The rule is "stative verbs".
3. Correct. The rule is "first conditional". Adding "will" to the if-clause is simply confusing to an English-thinking mind.
4. "They gave me some useful advice." Uncountable nouns and quantifiers. You're right, your version looks a little unnatural, but only because it's verbose.
