Finnish question: Would I Use the Partitive Case in This Situation? So for short "sentences" using a verb and a noun or the subject, would partitive need to be used? For example, if I were to write "Flying cow" with no other context, would it be "Lentävä lehmä" or "Lentävää lehmää" or something else? And if there were more than one cow, would it be "Lentävä lehmät¨ or "Lentävä lehmiä" or "Lentävää lehmiää" or something else? Sorry if I was confusing, any help is appreciated.

A flying cow would simply be "lentävä lehmä" and the plural of this would be "lentävät lehmät" so no partitive case needed. In the following situations you'd need to use it though: "Näin eilen lentäviä lehmiä." (I saw flying cows yesterday.) "Näitkö ne eläintarhasta karanneet lentävät lehmät?" (Did you see the flying cows that escaped the zoo?) "Katson juuri lentävää lehmää." (I'm looking at a flying cow right now.)
