Secular means having religious freedom and a government that is not controlled by religion. (America and Europe are secular for example, China ,Saudi Arabia, Iran  are not) so basically many places, like for example Lebanon, that are secular, are becoming more radical and society is forcing Islam on Christians and also on Muslims that do not exhibit a strong enough adherence to Islam. Also that people who were moderately Islam are showing solidarity against "western" culture (like unveiled women) because the west has invaded Islamic countries, by becoming more "Islamic"
