meaning of "sue me" in this dialog! Hello guys! This is the dialog... A: Oh no! Look at that line! It must be a mile long! There’s no way I’m waiting for another two hours. B: Honey... don’t... C: Hey man, the end of the line is over there. A: Yeah... C: No seriously, I was here first, and you can’t cut in line like this. A: Says who? C: I do! A: So sue me! C: Alright...that’s it.... (START FIGHTING) all right .... the question is : i can't understand what is the meaning of expression "Sue me!" in this dialog! dictionary says: take someone to court because they have harmed you (specially for money) BUT in this dialog i thing that is a rude expression to say because after saying that, they start fighting! does anyone can help me to understand this expression and how to use and when to use? Thanks :)

This is an expression to show his arrogance.It's like "yeah you are here first,so what?I don't care,if you have any problem you can take me to a judge",of course there sure be no judge.

Ha ha! yes, you got it right. It's a very rude thing to say. Tom Hanks said it in "You've got mail". I'm not a native, but I've seen this expression a few times in movies.

Hey Ali! This expression is of course an exaggeration in this situation. This person is saying "sue me!" in a very sarcastic way. I think "sue me" became a well-known expression because in America it's common for people to get sued for many things. Ali, I don't think this is an expression you want to say. It makes the person who is saying this seem like an arrogant person, but at least you understand the meaning :)
