Hi John, The way "1920 x 1080 p" is most commonly spoken about is, "Nineteen-twenty BY ten-eighty P".

We usually group our numbers in pairs of 2. 1920 x 1080p I would say: Nineteen Twenty by Ten Eighty P 1280 x 720p I would say: Twelve Eighty by Seven Twenty P

I work a lot of av equipment and we normally refer to the second part only. So when I'm purchasing TVs or Projectors, I ask for 1080p (ten eighty P)
