What's the difference between like and admire ? And which one is right? He isn't liked by anyone . Or. He isn't admired by anyone.

i personally feel (this may not be accurate) that you like people for WHO they are and you admire people for what they DO.

Both of these are grammatically correct. I will say this though: The difference in these two sentences is the "like" versus "admire". "Like" is a nebulously-defined social connotation often referring to an appreciation of someone. To "admire" is to regard (an object, quality, or person) with respect or warm approval. In essence, one is more of appreciating, and the other is more respecting.
