The first step to writing any essay is to brainstorm. For your paper, you will need to first think about who is important to you in your life. It doesn't need to be the most important, just any person who you think has influenced you and how you think or do things. Family members, teachers, or mentors are usually very good topics for this type of essay. Once you have chosen who you are going to write about, you need to come up with some reasons for why you chose them. Did they teach you a certain skill? Did they do something very inspiring? Do they do good work? Are they kind and generous? Did they help you when you were going through something difficult? Write down anything and everything you can think of that answers why they are important to you. Next, choose two to four of the things you wrote down. These will be the body paragraphs of your paper. Write one paragraph explaining each of the things you picked. This could be a very short story about a time they helped you, or just a description of something they do. It will depend on which reason you picked. Write the opening paragraph next. In this paragraph, you will explain who they are and who they are to you. end the introduction paragraph with a sentence saying why you chose this person. Then, write the closing paragraph. This will be very similar to your first. Summarise why you chose this person and what they mean to you. Lastly, don't forget to edit. Make sure your paragraphs make sense with each other. Use a tool such as Grammarly to correct basic mistakes in grammar and spelling. I would also book a lesson with a community tutor who can help you edit your essay.
