I like anything and everything by Alicia Keys and some Beyonce songs (check out Suga Mama, Upgrade U, Deja Vu, and Crazy in Love by her) Alicia's most recent album was As I Am, if you want recent. B has like 4 new songs or so out, but I don't favour them. Utada isn't that well-known to Americans unless you play Kingdom Hearts, but she has an English album and is working on another due to release in March. Her first English album is Exodus, and her new one is called Come Back to Me. One of her popular English singles is Simple and Clean. G'luck with your English.

Angel - Sarah McLaughlin) Spend all your time waiting For that second chance For a break that would make it okay There's always some reason To feel not good enough And it's hard at the end of the day I need some distraction Oh beautiful release Memories seep from my veins Let me be empty Oh and weightless and maybe I'll find some peace tonight In the arms of the angel Fly away from here From this dark cold hotel room And the endlessness that you fear You are pulled from the wreckage Of your silent reverie You're in the arms of the angel May you find some comfort here So tired of the straight line And everywhere you turn There's vultures and thieves at your back The storm keeps on twisting Keep on building the lies That you make up for all that you lack It don't make no difference Escaping one last time It's easier to believe In this sweet madness Oh this glorious sadness That brings me to my knees In the arms of the angel Fly away from here From this dark cold hotel room And the endlessness that you fear You are pulled from the wreckage Of your silent reverie You're in the arms of the angel May you find some comfort here You're in the arms of the angel May you find some comfort here

"American Pie" by Don Mclean (which I believe the longest american folk song ever recorded and aired)! This song has been a part in my English learning studies during my younger days. It has a lot of somewhat captivating (if not enigmatic) phrases that helped untwined my tongue, and a lot of vocabs to learn. By the way, this song is considered to be a 'classic' song.

This month my favourite english song is this: "I don't know you/But I want you/All the more for that Words fall through me/And always fool me/And I can't react And games that never amount/To more than they're meant Will play themselves out... Take this sinking boat and point it home/We've still got time Raise your hopeful voice you have a choice You've made it now... Falling slowly, eyes that know me/And I can't go back Moods that take me and erase me/And I'm painted black You have suffered enough/And warred with yourself It's time that you won... Take this sinking boat and point it home/We've still got time Raise your hopeful voice you had a choice/You've made it now Falling slowly sing your melody I'll sing along" (Falling Slowly, by Glen Hansard/Markéta Irglová) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoSL_qayMCc
