What books do you recommend for me to read?
I bought a kindle, an amazon reading device, recently to try to increase my English vocabulary by reading books. I need recommendations... I think my level is B1

It would depend on your preferences. If you could hint what type of book would you like to read, it would be better to give you some hints.

I read the Lord of the Rings and the first book of Harry Potter.

Books by Hemingway. (The Old Man and the Sea, for example).

Audiobooks are also a good option together with the book. You could find some free audios and books in librivox and wikisources.

You could try looking for dual-language (Portuguese-English) texts. I use Kindle for this as there are a few English-Italian texts that I found that are free or very low cost.

I think books by Louis Sachar like "Way Side Story" are quite straightforward and easy to read and really enjoyable.

If you're interested in story books, you can choose the ones which are related to your level. The level has been written on the cover of books. :)
