One of the easiest version of the holy bible in french is "La bible des peuples". This version is very easy to understand even if you are not a native.

I am sorry for interfering since I have no clue what a commonly used French Bible translation is, but I have a photocopy of a very rare beautifully illustrated Bible of Gustave Doré. The photocopy was taken in the national library in France and it is in pdf. I can send it to you. It might help in learning French.
