Next week I'm going to visit Nürnberg with my fiancée. As she obliged me to ask the hotel whether it provides guests with mini-cosmetics, towels and kitchen accessories, I decided to text the hotel. And as I was not sure how to put the "kitchen accessories" into german words, I used my creativity and made up "Kühenzeug" word:

"Guten Abend!
Ich möchte fragen, ob im Hotel es Minikosmetika, Hantücher und Küchenzeug für Gäste gibt?”

The answered came back to me very soon:

„Sehr geehrter Gast, vielen Dank für Ihre freundliche Nachricht. Es gibt Handtücher und eine Grundaustattung. Leider müssen Sie Ihre eigenen Waschutensilien mitrbingen. Wir freuen uns auf Ihre Antwort und stehen Ihnen bei weiteren Fragen jederzeit gerne zur Verfügung. Mit freundlichen Grüßen”

And well, here I am confused. Isn`t "die Grundaustattung" a general term? Or does it refer in this particular case more to the kit of the kitchen or of the bath? Or, blöde Kuh, should I just text again to clarify this situation?

I'm not sure what you mean regarding the kitchen accessories. Is there a kitchen?

The answer is not very clear. But as I understand it: "Leider müssen Sie Ihre eigenen Waschutensilien mitrbingen." means: no mini-cosmetics. 
As for the kitchen, a "Grundausstattung" means that you will find the basic accessories for cooking. So you can expect to find some pots, dishes and cutlery. If it's a common kitchen for all guests, you can expect to find things like salt and pepper as well. Otherwise you'd have to bring (or buy) your own.
