why doesn't exist in movies/films the option British or American english? I want to learn british english and I love to watch movies. But I can't learn the british listening the american english all the time. The portuguese (my Mother tongue) has the option Brazil or Portugal. I would love if there is that option for the english. I know the english is more complex (there are Australia, Canada, New Zealand etc.) But those places use one most than other english. Why not? Can someone help me? There is a site to watch films (even american movies) in british english?

To my knowledge there isn't a way to do this on any site. I think the reason is that there isn't that much of a difference between British and American English. Sure it's not the same (different pronunciation, a few different words), but we still understand each other. From what I understood, there is a bigger difference between Portuguese in Portugal and Brazilian Portuguese. I could be wrong, but that seems like the reason. So as far as I know, no one dubs American movies with a British accent.

There are differences in some words used in American and British English. However, the syntax (the way that words are constructed to form sentences) and verb forms remains the same. In Portuguese or even Spanish, there are differences in verb tenses used depending on the Spanish form used, which is why there are options for multiple types of Portuguese or Spanish in DVDs.

From the first sound movies in the 1920s into about the 1960, actors in movies made in the US actually used an accent that was halfway in between US and British English. This is called the "mid-Atlantic accent." They did this so that they could sell the same movie in both markets.
