How would you describe yourself to a stranger? What factors have most strongly influenced these aspects of your identity?

Just say 'Hi I'm Andrea', and shake the stranger's hand. Take your cues from him/her but don't reveal your real name, address or place of work unless you meet at a business function. Then you can exchange business cards.

You guys are putting too much emphasis on the word - Stranger -. Personally, I think you are missing the question by a big margin. My view of the question is to find the -Factors- that influence -the Aspects of your Identity. There are different aspects of your identity that you would only reveal in different contexts and situations. The motivating factors may be psychological, economical, contextual, situational, racial, sexual or traditional. Ex: I can be a successful entrepreneur in the office, a loving father of two kids at home, an authoritative judo coach during my leisure hours,an irresponsible womanizer during the weekends. So, if the motivating factor is to look good for a bank loan, i would say that I am a successful businessman. If I want to look respectable, I would say that I am a widower raising two kids all by myself. If the motivating factor is sex, I would be a sharp dressing, charming, funny and easy-going bachelor that would only show the superficial side of myself .Finally, if I was being threatened on the street, I would most likely reveal the Judo coach side of my identity. Hope this helps, Give me a Shout ,;- ) Dont Worry and Be Happy TonyRomeo
