"Feeling blue" (Feeling sad, unhappy.) Can also be "Looking blue" ex:) I'm feeling blue.. He looks like he's feeling blue. You look really blue... are you okay? "Out of the blue" (Out of nowhere, unexpectidely) ex:)"I sent off my application to the company, but heard nothing. Then completely out of the blue they sent me a letter" "Blue in the face" (Making a huge effort for agreement) ex: I told him he was making a mistake until I was blue in the face but he wouldn't listen to me! "Once in a blue moon" (Only occurs once in a lifetime\while, extremely rare) ex:) Eclipses only happen once in a blue moon. I only see him once in a blue moon. Hope I helped ^^

Add "true blue" like "proper". "blue blood" = royal

"Have a blue" = have a fight, disagreement "Blue movie" = adult movie, definitely not for children There's an old nickname given to red-haired people here: "Blue". "Beaten black and blue" = badly beaten up; back and blue from the bruises.

In Polish we say "marzyć o niebieskich migdałach"(to dream about blue almonds), which basically means daydreaming. We can call someone who lives by their wits or loaves around "niebieski ptak"(blue bird) .We also have "niebieska krew"(blue blood=royal blood). But that's about it!

In Spanish we say "El que quiera azúl celeste que le cueste" meaning that if you want to get or accomplish something important, you will have to work really hard to get it.
