If the borrowed word has an equivalent in German then it takes that gender. Otherwise you saw with Walmart (Supermarkt).

I guess either it sounds "right" (best) with a certain gender or it depends on the parent noun. Example "Walmart": "der Walmart", because Walmart is a supermarket "der Supermarkt"
