"Device" is an object or a piece of equipment that has been designed to do a particular job: a water-saving device.
"Equipment" - the things that are needed for a particular purpose or activity: office equipment, equipment for the sports club. The equipment of the photographic studio was expensive.
So "equipment" is a word that means all the devices. For example, "equipment of the photographic studio" means all the devices that one needs to take and make photos.
"Machine" is a piece of equipment with moving parts that is designed to do a particular job: a washing/sewing machine, a machine for making plastic toys. The potatoes are planted by machine.
If you want to produce a car, you use machines to produce nearly all parts of the car.
"Terminal" is a piece of equipment, consisting of a keyboard and a screen that joins the user to a central computer system.

I think equipment is a really general word - it could mean exercise equipment - it could mean tools - I guess the focus of equipment is on things to help complete a job.
Machine is a very good word that can be used in many situations.
Terminal sounds like a specific computer that is connected to other computers. Station I think is a synonym. And, like station "terminal" is also used for transportation "bus terminal" "train terminal" I think the emphasis is on being connected but also being a separate part.
Device sounds very scientific.
I had to look up similar meanings in Korean - when I came to Korea - I had to something for my medical device (for my diabetes to check my blood) so I was sent to a "medical equipment store" they also called it a "medical device store" to find the parts to use for my "diabetes machine" .... but terminal would not be used in the situation at all. terminal is definitely used, i think, for computers or transportation. "At this terminal, Joe is working" "At this station, Joe is working" etcetera (nado..) ...
ok, good luck
