I'm listening to EnglishPod recently English Pod, a audio program on iTunes, which, I think, is the best podcast I've ever listened. It gives listeners real English other than conventional preaching which I concern as cliche. I read some article about ESL as well giving me the viewpoint that input plays the most significant role in language learning. Then I tried to read some article in the Economist, which is not as hard as I thought, which makes me think I maybe in the right direction now. Writing, however, is still frustrating, which, I think, is causing by lacking of practice, still needs I put efforts in.

One Important Thing in Chinese Learning Concerning the complexity of every culture, language learning is never easy, so it is in the Chinese learning, especially for the western learners when there’s a huge difference between us. Attitude, I think, is always important, which like an engine, gives you force and encouragement throughout your learning process. Whether you have the right attitude in studying determines the time you can spend on it, and time forever is the basic element in everything. We all know the difference between something I want to do and something I need to do, saying China’s English teaching and Canada’s French teaching. But where does the right attitude come from? From your colleague, your boss, your Chinese friend, the Chinese food or kung fu, they are all OK. If only you have interest in it, the more time you spend on it, the more closer you can get into. Maybe at first it is just a point, a lot of points come into a line, numerous lines form a surface, countless surfaces let you comes into the real China. So find your point and grow it by time!
