1st memorial of baron Munchausen in the world, Khmelnitsky, Ukraine Probably, everyone in childhood read fairytales or watched cartoons about baron Munchausen and his unbelieveable adventures. In the honour of this famous historical and literary person in 1970th on one of the yards in central part of the city Khmelnitsky, was built 1st in the world concrete park arrangement, which includes schulpture-fountain, pool and fortress which looks like Ochakov. According to one of the stories about Munchausen, in the battle near Ochakov (real baron took part in that battle too), back part of the horse was cut! But after battle brave baron found it on the meadow and sewed 2 part of horse with laurel sprouts. As result laurel sprouts are grew up and both parts of horse grew together again. Parts of fountain are built the way when horse is drink the water from the barrel it pour out from him from another side. And baron sitting on horse and turned back looking for this phenomenon. Under his feet were carved those words: “This is who with one shot kill 40 ducks”. Do you know that nowadays his name associates with people who tell stories which was never happened?

Lyadsky gates, Kiev Lyadskiy gates - one of the main features on Independance square in Kiev. They were restorated in 2001 and placed very close to area where remains of ancient gates which was made with wood were found. During times of Kievan Rus Lyadsky gates were separating Old town from outskirts. In 2002 on the top of gates was erected a monument of Archangel Michel who is a heavenly protector of city Kiev. Since the monument was erected there were many disputes about black color ofsculpture, definite gender (according to Christianity angels don't have gender) and small wings. But the author of sculpture thinks that those arguments are baseless. What do you think about it?

Building jokes Young mother was going along the street with her kid one and half years old. She was telling something to him. When I came closer I heard: "This is tree, this is yellow bench, this is fence which is made of sticks. This sticks are called "hot rolled steel rods fourteen millimeters diameter which is painted with alkyd enamel over two layers of primer". This is kitty, it says "meow" ..

Awful vacation I want to tell you a story what I have heard on last english lesson about an awful vacation on Ibiza. You may wonder - How could it be? And after you reading it you will understand :D So let's begin. A married coulpe of old people wanted to feel something new on their vacation, so they choose take a trip to Ibiza. They was on that island in 1960 and there were quiet and peaseful. A couple expexted took a rest and relax there. So they bought (what a lucky!) cheap fly tickets and started to packed their suitcases. But Ibiza is a good choise when you're 17th, not 70th! So when they landing there they was shoked how Ibiza changed! The deserted beachs earlier was with a flood of tourists. The hotel where they had booked the apartment was in the part of the city where there a lot of bars. The music was played untill 5 a.m. and they couldn't sleep at night. Also they couldn't sleep in day-time because there was too hot and they just boiling in the room. All 2 weeks they just want to back home. And after arrived they decided spend all their vacations at home =) Hope you enjoy the story ^^ Thanx for reading xO

My last vacation Today I would like to tell you about my last vacation Three weeks ago (on Saturday and Sunday) I went to Kyiv. I wanted to visit mу friend - Viktoria. She's from Khmelnitsky, but during last few years she is working in the capital of Ukraine. The way to Kyiv was taken 8 hours by train. I stayed at Vika's apartment during 2 days. The weather was not very good. Just few hours was sunny, but all other time was too windy and cloudy. It wasn't summer weather, but I didn't have a warm clothes. So we just walked around during few hours and came back to apartment. We talk a lot as we didn't see each other almost 3 monthes. In the evening of Saturday we went out to met our friends from Kharkiv. It was too cold and we back home soon. Anyway I like my last vacation - I could saw and talk with my friend, and bad weather was not a reason to told other ^^
