Resources for kids
I am hoping to find some language resources for my children. I would like them to start with French and Spanish. All the kids’ foreign language websites in the United States are for native English speaking children wanting to learn a second language. These are either expensive or not very good. I would like to find French or Spanish websites for children whose first language is French or Spanish. Websites that help kids learn colors, to read, count, etc. In the US we have lots of great sites like these (abcmouse.com is a popular one). Does anyone know of great sites like this but in Spanish or French?

Reasons for War
I enjoy watching documentaries on the American Civil War. It was an horrific war between the Southern United States and the Northern United States that took place between 1861-1865. Photography was new then and there are many pictures of the dead from the battles. So many men's lives were cut short. It always makes me think of all the wars across the thousands of years. So many men gone to Sheol leaving behind greiving family. I always begin to wonder if there are other ways to settle conflicts. What are your thoughts? When is war the only answer? Do you think your culture informs your thoughts on war? I do believe sometimes it is unavoidable but when does it become unavoidable?
