After trying a few trial lessons with other instructors when deciding which language to learn, I chanced upon Karen-san and I felt that she was really friendly and approachable and since I wanna watch anime without subtitles one day, I decided to try a few more lessons. With structured plan that is coupled with additional presentation materials, I was able to review and know what I don’t know. She is open to questions that we might have and she was able to answer with decent and clear English. I am using the textbook currently but to enhance the quality of lesson, she would ask real questions which forces you to apply what I have learnt which is quite cool.Suggestions she made like learning some things like day of the month via song were helpful too. Highly recommend Karen-san if you seek to learn Japanese ✨

This was my first lesson with Karen. She’s very professional and kind. Today we covered sonkeigo and she provided a plan for next time too, so I know what else we’re working on in the near future
