Maura Tisoy

Maura is great and I appreciate her tracking and coming up with our fun "tasks" in between lessons!

Today, Maura pointed out to me that I use "okey" too much when speaking Spanish, and it was eye-opening! She's so observant and is great at picking out these habits and quirks that prevents learning from advancing. Appreciate the insight, Maura!

I think that Maura is the best teacher on italki. She explains the minute details of the Spanish language so you can fully understand and grasp the reason why a verb, adjective, and saying or used in the language. You learn more than you can even imagine for sure with Maura.

I was so surprised how I was able to really comprehend and communicate in Spanish with tip and skills presented to me by Maura.

Maura has learning materials that makes learning Spanish a breeze. She explains in detail why and how grammar functions in Spanish. She is very patient and answer any questions on grammar topics I am confused about.

I've taken over a dozen lessons with Maura so far and am pleased with my progress. I started off not being able to say sentences at all and now I can communicate most of my thoughts, albeit inelegantly! I also appreciate the care and attention Maura pays to my expression to gauge whether I understand things or not.. thanks, Maura!
