This has been a fantastic first lesson! I am a complete beginner in Ancient Greek and have decided it would be fun to start to learn this language during summer, and I had a pleasure to learn from Alexandros! He provided me with very detailed learning plans, and also sent me course materials before the class for me to do the preview. Alexandros entered the classroom quite early so my first lesson actually went several minutes longer than scheduled. The lesson started with Alexandros introducing me briefly the history of Ancient Greek language, and we went through pronunciations of the alphabet, as well as pronouncing rules such as diphthongs, breathings...later we went on to practice reading a fable. Alexandros is extremely patient and gives instant feedback while I tried to pronounce it, and I find this method useful to quickly familiarize myself with the pronunciation rule. I have enjoyed a great deal and am looking forward to more lessons!

Today’s lesson was incredibly interesting and well-structured. We started by correcting my homework on diphthongs and consonant clusters; Alexandros clarified every doubt, integrating the corrections with fascinating insights that made everything stick. We worked through exercises 3-6 of Chapter 1 (Ελληνικά Α΄). We also revisited the first three dialogues to clarify vocabulary and practiced reading with Exercise 7 (page 17). A highlight was the introduction to Greek accents and monosyllables, specifically the exceptions like 'πού vs που' and 'πώς vs πως'—very helpful! We even took a moment to test my Greek keyboard setup. We moved on to listening exercises and vocabulary building with Dialogues 4 and 5 (page 19). Finally, we introduced the verb 'to be' with personal pronouns, seeing how they function in real dialogue, and touched briefly on cardinal numbers 0-10. Alexandros is an excellent teacher: he keeps the pace engaging and is always encouraging.I highly recommend. Ευχαριστώ.Marco

Alexandros is a phenomenal teacher! We covered the entire Greek alphabet in just 30 minutes, and I was impressed by how structured and clear his method is. He provides detailed explanations for everything and uses appropriate materials.
For a student like me, Alexandros offers a solid and concrete framework; he builds your knowledge from the ground up, just like an engineer building a house from its foundations. He is incredibly professional, prepared, and always ready to encourage you. On top of that, he is very friendly and makes the lesson engaging and productive.
He already provided me with targeted exercises to practice, showing great dedication. I am truly grateful for his availability and his passion for teaching. If you want to learn Greek with a clear path and a solid structure, Alexandros is the best choice. Highly recommended!
Ευχαριστώ πολύ!

Today’s lesson with Alexandros was intense and engaging. We reviewed the first ten exercises from the book Ελληνικά Α’, strengthening the basics, and then focused on consonant combinations and diphthongs. We also listened to the first dialogues (pp. 14–15), working on comprehension and reading, still centered on consonant clusters.
Homework was assigned (exercises 3, 4, 5, and 6) to continue practicing. A particularly fascinating part of the lesson was the historical overview: from the Minoan age to the Mycenaean palace period, through the Dark Age, and into the Classical, Hellenistic, and Byzantine eras.
Alexandros’s knowledge and passion make each lesson motivating and inspiring. Thank you, Alexandros!
