ABIGAIL MARTINEZ

Today I asked if we could review the language needed in shops, restaurants and cafes. Abi started with a vocab review so I had the language I needed and introduced some new phrases for ordering etc. Then we did controlled practise by reading some dialogues and then we did some role plays with different scenarios which were more spontaneous. These were at normal speed. I had to listen carefully so I could respond correctly. I loved the way we progressed. Now I can take it into the streets and test myself. Thanks Abi

Best Spanish teacher I ever had and I've had a lot.

Another great lesson with Abigail. I am really enjoying the way she structures the lesson. We start with a chat and some questions and answers. This allows me the chance to use the grammar and vocabulary I have learnt in context. Then we do activities that Abi has planned which are a combination of reviewing and learning new things. She slows down when I need more practise. I don’t feel embarrassed or stressed when I make mistakes or need help. She is very reassuring. I can tell that I am making progress.

Another great lesson with Abi. She is very patient and is able to make sense of my Spanish which gives me confidence. Communication is what it is all about and Abi gently helps me with my pronunciation, grammar structures and vocabulary. I have learnt so much in 2 months.

Today was a great lesson! We talked about our favorite foods and how to describe them! Abby gives a lot of examples and is very encouraging!
