Mike Surinak

A super-useful first lesson with Mike. I've had plenty of Italki lessons with Thai natives and this was the first time I have tried an Italki lesson with a Western teacher. I'm pleased to say that I learnt a lot from it. Mike was able to give me the benefit of his experience in learning Thai and in how he dealt with a lot of the challenges I am wrestling with. He also gave me great feedback about small changes I could change my manner of speaking that would make me sound much more Thai. It was quite a different approach to lessons I have had with Thai natives - and so very valuable and complimentary. Mike was also really encouraging - which is massively appreciated.

Mike is a great teacher and understands the difficulties for native English speakers learning a tonal language. His lessons are well paced, fun and engaging. I would definitely recommend him to others.

Good first lesson , I'm at a tricky level with my Thai learning and Mike seemed to understand exactly the way for me to move forward..on to the next!

Very good teacher! He knows to explain the difficulties of a western person to learn Thai and has a good way to practice it together.
