I am a full-time public sector professional with two Masters degrees, offering conversation courses on Italki. I have been on my own language learning journey for 12 years, developing proficiency in German, French and Russian during that time. As a teacher, I am patient, flexible and engaging, ready to adapt my style to suit my students' needs. Given my background and experiences, I am able to help students build a professional and/or academic vocabulary, if that is their objective. I have previous experience teaching political thought to university students, and in my public sector position, I deliver presentations on complex regulatory topics to diverse audiences. I focus on my students' interests and passions, helping them to build their vocabulary on topics that are important to them, while explaining grammatical principles as needed.
I believe that the best methods for learning a language are usually most direct. For that reason, I will encourage students who want to improve their ability to speak to speak as much as possible during our lessons.
