Hi! I’m Tana Monk—a native English teacher specializing in helping kids and teens master reading, grammar, and confident conversation. With my 160 hours TEFL/TEYL certification and 8+ years of experience teaching students from Poland to China, I’ve learned how to make English fun and effective for both young and adult learners. As an American-Filipino who’s lived in Canada, the USA, the Philippines, and New Zealand, I bring a global perspective to lessons. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me playing baseball (yes, I’m a National Team player!), coaching softball, exploring new foods, or cuddling my dogs. Once you schedule your trial lesson, I will assess your oral speaking, and we can talk about the areas you need to work on. Even if you decide not to take more lessons with me, this trial will give you an excellent idea of where you need to improve!

Today is my daughter‘s 16th lesson w/ Ms Tana, persistently once a wk（re：9yrs old）. I have to say ⋯ I’ve no regret in choosing you as her English teacher so far. We LOVE Tana - she is fantastic. Our girls are native English speakers but are benefiting from extra support with reading and writing in English. Tana is awesome at keeping our 7 year old giggly girls engaged and enjoying their lessons the whole 45min - a miracle. We are Tana fans through and through - looking forward to more lessons to come.
