Hi! 👋🏻 I’m Emma, a native English speaker from the US with a bachelor's degree in English and Creative Writing.
I enjoy spending my time on a wide range of hobbies, such as

As a teacher, I’m very patient and always prioritize my students’ comfort. I want learning to feel calm, enjoyable, and meaningful, not stressful. My lessons focus on reading 📚, writing 📝, and self-paced learning👩🏻💻, so students can take their time to think, reflect, and truly understand the language.
I have over two years of experience teaching English and have also spent many years studying different languages myself here on italki. I understand how challenging and rewarding learning a language can be. My goal is to help each student grow with confidence and enjoy every step of their learning journey! I encourage open discussion and create a comfortable space where students feel confident sharing their ideas.
After each lesson or assignment, I provide a detailed set of notes and feedback for students to practice on their own, such as:

- Vocabulary lists with example sentences
- Grammar tips and guidance
- Links to helpful exercises, games, videos, or websites
- Homework or practice tasks to reinforce learning

Emma is kind and always listens to my poor English until the end and tries to understand me.
Even though I was nervous and shy at first, I’m sure that if I keep taking classes with her, one day I’ll be able to speak freely just like her.
I’ve always wanted to take lessons with a tutor who has an authentic American accent, and I think this is such a great opportunity!
