Iván

J’ai eu la chance de prendre près de quarante cours avec Iván. J’ai commencé les cours avec Iván en septembre 2022, avec un niveau “faux débutant” (J’avais fait de l’espagnol au Lycée vingt ans auparavant.) En avril 2023, J’ai passé et réussi du 1er coup tous les examens pour devenir professeur d’espagnol aux Etats-Unis! Ses cours sont supers et efficaces! Il est bien plus qu’un professeur, C’est un véritable coach linguistique qui fournit des outils pour progresser en dehors de la classe. C’est grâce à lui que J’ai progressé si rapidement: il a cru en moi, m’a donné des ressources, conseils, m’ accompagnée avec bienveillance. Iván est avant tout une personne extraordinaire, toujours enthousiaste, avec qui il est très facile de parler. Tout au long de l’année, j’ai appris bien plus que la langue et la culture, on a aboré des sujets passionnants. Iván, je ne sais pas comment te remercier! A bientôt pour notre prochain cours!

Ivan is a teacher with a strategy. He looks at my learning process in a holistic way, and makes sure that I am developing consistently and with a strong foundation. He's created a structure of learning for me which is challenging but also in tune with who I am and what my strengths / weaknesses are. The use of accountability is also brilliant. Methodical, precise and logical and yet also sensitive and spiritually aware. I am very grateful for his encouragement and patience. Thank you!

Iván is the best teacher ever!!!

I can't speak highly enough about Iván. What I appreciate most is how he seems ready for and happy to take on any situation. Language is, among many things, a doorway to a new culture and way of being. Since I mentioned my interest in indigenous cultures in Mexico, we've discussed them in our lessons in one way or another. He has even sent me content outside of class around my interests. Iván is committed to his students, and I wholeheartedly appreciate his service to, well, the world!

I am really shy about speaking Spanish, and Ivan makes me feel very comfortable and not judged. He is very encouraging and helpful at the same time. It is clear that he cares about my lesson experience and progress.
