Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish (and battling Mandarin!), I’ve taught students everywhere from Tokyo cafés to Brazil bookshops. Imagine a class that feels like laughing over tea with a friend- with a little more structure!! Let’s turn grammar into stories and accents into adventure My students are made to feel comfortable and their confidence is built up right away in order to become proficient speakers whether they are complete beginners or intermediate level :) My best quality as a teacher is the ability to recognise individual needs and plan my classes accordingly so that every class is highly engaging for you! I have experience teaching Cambridge Exams, IELTS, iGCSE, IB Diploma and General English. I use a wide range of materials such as pictures, textbooks, articles, videos, music and other authentic resources which will help you to feel more confident when speaking English and Irish and will be sure to keep you fully engaged! ** PLEASE NOTE ** In keeping with italki's policy, you CANNOT cancel a lesson with LESS THAN 24 hours notice. Kate is an absolutely fabulous teacher. She is extremely patient, kind, and makes you feel super at ease during lessons which is so essential when learning a new language. I really appreciate that she focuses on making sure I get plenty of opportunities to practice speaking. I also feel very comfortable making mistakes and know that Kate will always encourage me to keep trying. I look forward to each lesson and can't wait to keep learning with her.
