Halo! I’m Joe, a native Welsh speaker from Aberystwyth with a passion for sharing my language and culture. Fluent in both *North and South Welsh dialects*, I bring authenticity and depth to every lesson. As an Oxford graduate in Japanese with Chinese, I understand language-learning challenges firsthand—and love helping students overcome them! Whether you’re starting from scratch or polishing advanced skills, I tailor lessons to your goals. Prefer learning via English, French, Spanish, or Japanese? No problem! I have significant experience in personal tutoring and working within education more generally. I have been tutoring languages for 5 years now and have also worked as a teaching assistant in Welsh-medium secondary schools. I teach *both North and South dialects*. Phong cách dạy & bài học của tôi
I offer three main ‘types’ of teaching:
> Free Conversation - Examples of possible conversation topics include hobbies, news, language learning, and Wales/Welsh Culture.
> Grammar/Vocabulary - We will take a detailed look at Welsh grammar, suited to your level. We can go at whatever speed you like.
> Advanced - We will take a look at newspaper articles and learn advanced Welsh vocabulary.
I can teach some grammar in conversation classes, but note that conversation is always the main focus in those classes. If you would like structured grammar classes (50+% of our time spent studying grammar), I would recommend choosing the grammar class.Tài liệu giảng dạy của tôi

Joe was brilliant. He was very calm and patient. He listened to what I was saying throughout the lesson and answered any questions I had relating to the beautiful welsh language. He explained everything throughly in a way that I could understand and asked if I understood what was said and if I had any questions or anything. Will certainly be booking again and will 100% recommend Joe to anyone thinking of learning the welsh language.
