I'm taking German at the local community college (finished German I and moving to German II). There are many students in the class so we spend most of our time learning grammar, vocabulary, and about German culture, and speaking only limited phrases. We haven't had much opportunity to try to actually converse in German. I wanted to fill in this missing piece, and improve my conversation skills, by speaking more with native German speakers. However, they aren't easy to find here in California. I'm so glad I found italki. Peter was terrific. Easy to understand, patient, and kind. Given my knowledge level is beginner German, he spoke to me using simpler vocabulary, which I appreciated. I'm excited to converse more with him in the coming weeks and months.
