I had an amazing experience learning Spanish with Maria! I started lessons with her in preparation for a six-month trip through South/Central America, and her teaching provided me with a solid foundation that allowed me to confidently speak with locals during my travels. She puts a tremendous amount of effort into preparing each class, creating structured, engaging lessons that are effective in improving vocabulary, grammar, and overall speaking skills. As a result, my confidence in speaking Spanish grew significantly. One of the highlights of her classes was learning about the history of various Latin American countries, which not only deepened my understanding of the language but also enriched my travel experiences by giving me context and insight into the places I visited. Additionally, her super friendly and approachable demeanor, combined with her emotional intelligence, made each conversation comfortable and helped eliminate any fear of making mistakes.

This was a great first meeting, Marilu assessed my level and asked questions about my goals. She demonstrated her methodology, asked me several times if I had questions and gave me suggestions to move forward. Muchas gracias!

i absolutely love maria’s classes the topics she picks and open discussions about whatever the student would like to discuss is an amazing way to challenge one’s level, she is super patient understanding and smart. i find myself very relaxed and welcomed to make mistakes and learn with her as i go, a total recommend to anyone who is a beginner or advanced there is always something to do and work on with maria ❤️👍🏻
