I've been teaching Vietnamese for foreigners (with Southern accent) for more than 9 years (since 2015).
In my classes, I speak Vietnamese 85-99%. I use Vietnamese to teach Vietnamese.
My students are at all ages and from over the world. They are from US, Canada, Germany, France, Belgium, UK, Sweden, Romania, Norway, Australia, India, Uzbekistan, Japan, South Korea, HongKong, Taiwan, Russia, Thailand... Phong cách dạy & bài học của tôi
My lessons are made based on students' levels and needs. In every class, I combine vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. Additionally, I encourage students speak Vietnamese as much as they can.

Ly is a skillful teacher. After a few month I can have some basic conversations in Vietnamese. I recommend learning the language with her.
She has her own language course. Each lesson covers pronunciation, hearing, grammar, all important stuff. After each class Ly assigns homework.

She is super friendly and welcoming! She encourages constant Vietnamese speaking and listening, which I really appreciate. I already speak broken Vietnamese, and I am glad that she quickly helps me fix my pronunciation and learning new words afterward.

I have had a pleasure of working with Ly for 6 months now and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for the progress I've made under Ly's guidance.
1. Ly is such a talented teacher! I can now have simple conversations with native speakers. I worked with a number of Italki teachers, and Ly's teaching stands out.
2. Ly strikes a perfect balance between conversation and textbook during lessons. We begin each class with 20-30 minutes of conversation practice, followed by 30 - 40 minutes of new material focusing on grammar and vocabulary. Ly assigns homework which I find very helpful.
3. The learning materials provided by Ly are exceptional. She has created her own textbook that covers vocabulary, grammar, and exercises in a natural progression. I love the audio recordings which I can come back to later.
Ly goes the extra mile to make all lessons enjoyable and I always look forward to them. I strongly recommend committing and booking 2 - 3 hours per week. You'll love to progress!

Had my first lesson with Ly and she was an extremely gifted teacher who really knows how to connect with her students. As a beginner who is struggling with pronunciation, she manages to teach me patiently throughout the 60 minute lesson without a hitch. Definitely a pleasure to be taught by Ly. Will be taking up more lessons with her soon!
