Hello! I'm Alain Sylla, a passionate and experienced language teacher with a love for music, travel, reading, writing, and photography. I have a Master's degree in Education. At 36 years old, I bring my enthusiasm for exploring new cultures and experiences into every lesson. I thrive on helping others learn and grow in foreign languages, whether through conversation, grammar practice, or immersive cultural insights. As a teacher fluent in five languages, I tailor my support to each student's abilities and needs. Understanding their interests allows us to create a personalized learning path. By employing both the communicative and cafeteria-based approaches, I meticulously plan each lesson to engage students at all levels. Active participation in the learning process not only enhances their understanding and enjoyment but also makes the learning process more meaningful, inclusive, autonomous, and motivating. After about 88 lessons with Alen, I’ve really come to appreciate how thoughtful and effective his teaching style is. He explains grammar clearly, reinforces concepts through conversation, and gives feedback in a way that genuinely helps me grow. I’ve become so much more confident speaking because of his approach.
What I also value is how he incorporates Haitian culture into our lessons. It makes learning feel alive and meaningful, and it’s helped me feel a deeper connection to the language and its roots. That’s something really special and not something every teacher offers. I’m truly grateful for the experience.
