My first class, which was mostly introductions to the language, dialects, history etc and some spoken Scots was excellent. I am very excited to dive in and learn more.

Great introductory lesson with Jared. Easy going and very conversational. Jared has helped me to get started on the road to learning Scot and gave me some real good pointers on pronunciation. I have already set up another lesson. I am confident that Jared can help me to get to a conversational level. I highly recommend meeting up with Jared if you are at all interested in Scots.

Another Great Lesson. Time to hear the language being spoken, and explanation of many nuance. and time to speak and read aloud with active and actionable feedback on my progress.

Jared met me where I am. I have been speaking Doric Scots for over five years, but my grammar and accent need improvement. He started welcomingly with an anecdote that allowed me to chime in where I felt comfortable and then we moved on to my weak areas once he had broken the ice. I am definitely coming back for more, and recommend anyone with a love of Scottish culture to do the same! Thank ye, Jared. Ah’ll daunder doon tae hae a wicin wi ye agin richt swippert-like!
