Today is Friday. Lately I feel like the weeks are passing by really quickly. At that time, it’s tough because I have several assignments deadlines coming up. But I like the feel of accomplishment I get after finishing everything, so I’ll do my best! As a reward for getting through this week, I would like to eat ice cream and some snacks today.

Hello. Today is a very hot day, just like usual. What's different is that I took an earlier train than usual. This will get me to class on time. I've been getting a little lazy lately, so I left home early today to refresh myself. I have a lot of English classes today, but I'm going to try my best as usual.

"Shinki-itten心機一転" means making a fresh start or turning over a new leaf - completely changing your mindset or approach. It's about hitting the reset button and starting fresh. EX. 「彼氏（かれし）と別れた（わかれた）後（あと）、心機一転（しんきいってん）に髪型（かみがた）を変（か）えました」 "After I broke up with my boyfriend, I decided to change my hairstyle for a fresh start."

The orange backpack I bought online yesterday arrived! I used it immediately today. It's very cute and I like it. Tomorrow is the day I'm going to wear furisode for the photo shoot, so I’m going to get nail tips that go with my furisode and I’ll go to bed early. I hope it will look cute!!

What motivates you to volunteer with us? I am interested in becoming a volunteer to be engaged this summer by leading one-hour, interactive virtual classes in English or Mandarin. We also have a crisis of homebound and isolated older adults in our society due to the increasing number of single individuals. I am passionate about volunteering and currently teach Mandarin as well as English to beginners online.
